Vuzix Shield Smart Glasses

Vuzix Shield is a standalone, binocular augmented reality (AR) glasses designed primarily for businesses, industry, field service, logistics, quality control, and remote support.
The glasses display information simultaneously to the right and left eyes using transparent optical waveguides, allowing the user to maintain a clear view of their surroundings.
The image is monochromatic—displayed in green—and is primarily used to display instructions, messages, text, process data, codes, checklists, and simple interface elements.
The device is a standalone computer running a modified Android 11 operating system. It does not require a constant connection to a smartphone or external computer for basic operation.
The glasses allow users to take photos, record and transmit images, scan barcodes, conduct calls, use company applications, and display instructions hands-free. The design is designed as protective glasses compatible with prescription lenses. Vuzix positions the Shield as an enterprise-class device, not typical consumer glasses designed for entertainment.
