Even G2 and Even R1 — Smart Glasses with a Built-in Display and Companion Control Ring
The wearable technology market is developing rapidly, and one of its most interesting directions is smart glasses that do not try to replace a smartphone, but rather discreetly complement everyday work, communication, and travel. This is where the latest Even G2 smart glasses and the accompanying Even R1 smart ring come in.
Even G2 are smart glasses designed to look as natural as possible — more like premium everyday eyewear than a typical tech gadget. The frame is made from magnesium and titanium, and according to the manufacturer, the glasses weigh 36 grams. An important design feature is the absence of a camera, which distinguishes Even G2 from many other smart glasses and may be important for users who care about privacy and social comfort when using wearable devices.
The key feature of Even G2 is the built-in heads-up display, which presents information directly in the user’s field of view. This allows users to receive notifications, check their calendar, use task lists, navigation, a teleprompter, real-time translation, and AI features without constantly reaching for their phone.
The glasses support functions that are particularly useful at work, during presentations, and in conversations. Teleprompt mode allows users to keep presentation text in view, Translate supports real-time translation in 35 languages, and Conversate can help with notes, contextual suggestions, and conversation summaries. The manufacturer also highlights support for notifications, calendar, QuickList tasks, navigation, and the Even AI assistant.
The second element of the ecosystem is Even R1 — a smart ring designed as a natural controller for the G2 glasses. Instead of touching the frame or reaching for a phone, users can scroll, select, and control the glasses using discreet gestures on the surface of the ring. This may be especially useful during presentations, meetings, travel, or any situation where natural and subtle device control is preferred.
Even R1 also serves as a wellness device. According to the manufacturer, it monitors heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen level, skin temperature, activity, sleep, and selected readiness and productivity indicators. However, these functions should be treated as support for everyday self-observation rather than as diagnostic tools.
From a technical perspective, Even G2 offer a Micro LED display, 640 × 350 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, brightness of up to 1200 nits, and IP65 dust and water resistance. The glasses also support prescription lenses, including a range from −12.00 to +12.00, which means they can be configured not only as a gadget, but also as everyday prescription eyewear. The manufacturer declares up to two days of battery life, while the charging case is designed to provide power for several additional charging cycles.
Even R1 is made from zirconia ceramic and stainless steel. The ring has IP68 resistance, works for up to 4 days on a single charge, and does not require a monthly subscription. The set includes the ring, charger, and companion app.
Even G2 and Even R1 create a coherent ecosystem for users who want to use technology in a less intrusive way: without a large screen in front of their face, without a camera in the frame, and without constantly taking out their phone. It is a particularly interesting solution for business users, people who often give presentations, frequent travellers, users working with foreign languages, and anyone looking for modern smart glasses focused on productivity and discretion.
