bHaptics TactSuit Air is a lightweight, wireless haptic vest equipped with 16 independently controlled ERM vibration motors. The vest can be used with VR applications, computer games, simulators, and audio and video content. For compatible applications, haptic effects are assigned to specific events and body areas. For content without native integration, an Audio-to-Haptics mode is available, which converts audio signals into vibrations.

Important Information About Battery Life

The claimed 12 hours does not mean 12 hours of continuous operation with all motors at maximum power. The manufacturer achieved this result by running all points at maximum intensity for one second every ten seconds. Actual battery life will depend on the intensity, number, and frequency of haptic effects.

Compatibility

The manufacturer indicates support for the following environments:
Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest 3S – native support in compatible apps and wired Audio-to-Haptics mode.
PC VR and SteamVR – native support, mods, and wireless Audio-to-Haptics mode.
PC games without VR – native integration, official mods, and Audio-to-Haptics.
PlayStation VR and PS VR2 – supported apps and wired Audio-to-Haptics, depending on the game and connection method.
Racing simulators.
Music, movies, and other audio content.

Compatibility should be checked on a case-by-case basis for each specific program or game. Support for a specific platform does not guarantee that the vest will offer full, directional effects in every application running on that platform.

The manufacturer claims over 325 compatible games and over 400 pre-built haptic patterns. The list is expanding and includes native integrations, official mods, and community mods.

Software Required for Operation

bHaptics Player for PC

Basic application for:
pairing the vest with a computer,
checking the connection status,
testing the motors,
setting the vibration intensity,
enabling supported integrations,
using the Audio-to-Haptics feature when playing games, music, and videos.

In a PC environment, the included Bluetooth adapter may be required or recommended, even if the computer has its own Bluetooth module.

bHaptics VR Player
Application designed for configuring the vest and using supported content on Meta Quest devices.

bHaptics Mobile Player
Application available for iOS and Android. Allows:
pairing the device,
testing effects,
adjusting the intensity,
previewing haptic feedback,
configuring compatibility with PS VR2.

For PS VR2, the smartphone and PlayStation 5 must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

Tools for app developers

The manufacturer provides an SDK (Software Development Kit) – a set of programming tools that allows you to integrate haptic effects into your software.
