KAT Walk C2 Plus Enhanced – Omnidirectional VR Treadmill with Haptics

The KAT Walk C2 Plus Enhanced is a compact, omnidirectional VR treadmill that allows users to navigate the virtual world using natural body movements. Users can walk, run, rotate 360°, crouch, lean, dodge, and jump, all while remaining within a safe, confined space.

The system utilizes sensors placed at the feet and a direction sensor to translate the user's movement into in-game character control. The manufacturer claims a tracking latency of less than 10 ms and a distance measurement accuracy of 0.12 mm.

The Plus Enhanced version is equipped with a haptic platform, allowing the user to feel vibrations related to in-game events, such as explosions, gunfire, impacts, terrain, and vehicle movement. The included seat module expands the device's capabilities to include games and simulations related to driving cars, tanks, airplanes, and horseback riding.

K-Quiet Tech technology utilizes sound-absorbing materials embedded in the platform's structure. According to the manufacturer, this solution reduces noise by 36.9% compared to the previous design. K-Walk Tech technology increases impact absorption by 35% and expands the range of resistance adjustments while walking by 70%.

The integrated VR HUD system allows for the display of information regarding the user's movement, device operation, sensor status, and training data within the VR environment. Heart rate display requires the optional KAT VR Smart Armband.

The KAT Walk C2 Plus Enhanced is compatible with SteamVR and Oculus PCVR platforms, as well as headsets such as the Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest Pro, Oculus Rift, Rift S, HTC Vive, Vive Pro, Valve Index, Pimax, Vive Cosmos, and Windows Mixed Reality devices. A KAT Nexus adapter is required for use directly with the Meta Quest headset.
