Put on the ROG XREAL R1 like any other pair of glasses, and a virtual screen appears in front of you. The display is designed specifically for gaming, ensuring it is ready for all types of entertainment, including blockbuster AAA titles and competitive multiplayer games that require a dedicated monitor.

By default, the ROG XREAL R1 displays a virtual screen in front of your eyes that moves with every head motion, keeping the content centered in your field of view. For an experience closer to using a standard monitor, where you can look away when needed, you can enable Anchor Mode.

Anchor Mode requires no additional software on the connected device and is powered by the glasses’ built-in 3D depth of field (DoF) technology, allowing you to pin the display to a fixed virtual position. Look away at the real world or — if gaming — at other screens. Thanks to the very high refresh rate, images on the virtual screen remain sharp and clear even during head movement. The glasses can also automatically adjust brightness according to ambient light or be dimmed manually.

The glasses come with the ROG Control Dock, a docking station that simplifies setup for multiple devices at home. For example, if you want to easily switch between using the ROG XREAL R1 with a console and a gaming PC, simply connect both devices to the dock, plug in the glasses, and you’re ready to go.
