The Integrated Biometrics Mannix is a compact, mobile biometric scanner designed for high-quality fingerprint and palm image capture. The device utilizes Integrated Biometrics' patented LES (Light Emitting Sensor) technology and ZTX (Zero Bezel Technology) design, which eliminates the traditional bezel surrounding the scanning area. This allows virtually the entire sensor surface to be used for capturing large palm areas and various types of prints.
Mannix – FAP 60 mobile fingerprint and palm scanner
Manufacturer: Integrated Biometrics, USA
The Integrated Biometrics Mannix is a compact, mobile biometric scanner designed for high-quality fingerprint and palm image capture. The device utilizes Integrated Biometrics' patented LES (Light Emitting Sensor) technology and ZTX (Zero Bezel Technology) design, which eliminates the traditional bezel surrounding the scanning area. This allows virtually the entire sensor surface to be used for capturing large palm areas and various types of prints.
Mannix features an active scanning area of 127 × 127 mm and enables the capture of single and multiple fingerprints, rolled prints, as well as images of the upper and lower palm and the side of the hand (the "writer's palm" or hypothenar area). The device complies with FBI Appendix F and Appendix P requirements and is classified as FAP 60 (Fingerprint Acquisition Profile 60).
A key feature of the Mannix is its portability. The scanner communicates via USB 3.0 / USB-C and can be powered directly by the host device, such as a compatible smartphone, tablet, or computer. Consequently, it does not require a separate power supply for typical mobile operations.
LES technology enables operation even in challenging field conditions. The manufacturer highlights the scanner's resistance to strong ambient light and to contaminants on the sensor surface or fingers, such as moisture, grease, dust, or oil. The scanner is designed for applications in mobile, law enforcement, military, identification, and forensic sectors.

Required Software
Mannix is not a standalone biometric identification system. It is a biometric data capture device; therefore, it requires a computer or mobile device and an application to operate the scanner.
The manufacturer provides the IBScanUltimate SDK (Software Development Kit), which enables the integration of the scanner with biometric systems and third-party applications. The SDK includes device drivers, libraries and software components, API (Application Programming Interface) documentation, demo applications, and sample source code.
Supported environments:
- Windows 11 Desktop
- Android 15 or later
- Linux Kernel 5.x / 6.x or a later supported version
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or later
- Debian 12 or later
- x64 processor: 2.0 GHz or faster
- ARM: 1.0 GHz or faster
- RAM: minimum 1 GB (according to the latest datasheet).
Required software:
Integrated Biometrics IBScanUltimate SDK or compatible biometric software utilizing Integrated Biometrics drivers/APIs.
