Integrated Biometrics Kojak – FAP 60 fingerprint scanner
Manufacturer: Integrated Biometrics, USA
The Integrated Biometrics Kojak is a compact, professional-grade FAP 60 biometric scanner designed to capture a full set of ten fingerprints, including both flat and rolled prints. The device is FBI Appendix F certified and engineered for applications requiring high-quality biometric data, suitable for both stationary workstations and mobile solutions.
Kojak utilizes Integrated Biometrics' patented LES (Light Emitting Sensor) technology. Unlike traditional optical scanners, this technology maintains high image quality even in strong ambient light and direct sunlight. The sensor is also resistant to common finger contaminants such as moisture, grease, oil, dust, and dirt.
The scanner enables the simultaneous capture of four-finger slaps as well as the recording of individual rolled fingerprints. According to the manufacturer, a complete ten-finger set can be captured in under 10 seconds. Weighing approximately 725 g and powered directly via the USB interface, the Kojak is well-suited for mobile biometric enrollment stations.
The device is built for heavy-duty use. Its design features an IP65-rated seal between the bezel and the scanning surface and meets surface durability standards, including MIL-C-675c and MIL-STD-810F. Kojak is also equipped with mechanisms to mitigate common attempts to present fake biometric data, and the device is iBeta ISO/IEC 30107-3 compliant.

Required Software
Kojak is a biometric data acquisition device, not a standalone identification system. It requires a host device and a biometric application utilizing Integrated Biometrics drivers and the programming interface to operate.
The manufacturer provides the IBScanUltimate SDK (Software Development Kit), which enables the integration of the Kojak scanner with biometric applications. The package includes, among other things, API (Application Programming Interface) documentation, Integrated Biometrics software components, demonstration applications, and sample source code for developing custom solutions.
Currently supported environments:
Windows 11 Desktop
Android 15 or later
Linux Kernel 5.x, 6.x, or a later supported version
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS or later
Debian 12 or later
x86/x64 processor: 2.0 GHz or faster
ARM processor: 1.0 GHz or faster
