The MindRove Pro 8-channel EMG Armband is a research-grade wireless EMG armband designed for muscle recording, gesture control, and human-machine interfaces. The Pro version, also referred to by the manufacturer as Armband 2, utilizes the proven MindRove 8-channel EMG platform but offers a more compact and ergonomic design, a wider fit range, and improved electrode contact with the skin.

MindRove Pro 8-channel EMG Armband is an advanced wireless EMG armband designed for research, prototyping, and the development of applications using muscle signals. The device enables the acquisition of electromyographic EMG signals from the forearm or upper arm, providing access to raw data that can be used in motion analysis, gesture recognition, robotics control, HMI projects, and machine learning applications.

The Pro version has been redesigned for improved user comfort and measurement stability. Compared to the Classic version, it offers a more compact design, approximately 20% smaller volume, a better-fitting electrode holder, and more secure electrode contact with the skin. Thanks to its wider fit range of 17–35+ cm, the armband can be used more easily by people with different forearm or upper arm circumferences.

The device is equipped with 8 EMG channels as well as additional reference and DRL electrodes. Dry stainless steel electrodes allow comfortable operation without conductive gel, which speeds up workstation preparation and makes the device easier to use in laboratories, universities, R&D projects, and technology demonstrations.

MindRove Pro transmits data wirelessly to a computer via WiFi Direct. In addition to EMG signals, the device provides data from a 6-axis IMU sensor, including a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer. This makes it possible to combine muscle activity analysis with information about limb movement.

With SDK support for Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as compatibility with C++, C#, Python, and MATLAB, MindRove Pro can be integrated with custom software, gesture recognition algorithms, robotic systems, research environments, and real-time applications. MindRove Connect software enables signal visualization, data recording, filtering, and CSV export.
