BrainBit EEG Headband 4 channel

The BrainBit EEG Headband is a wireless, 4-channel EEG (Electroencephalography) headband designed to record and monitor the brain's electrical activity in real time. The device uses dry, gold-plated electrodes, eliminating the need for conductive gel or a traditional EEG cap during typical use.

BrainBit EEG Headband – 4-channel

The BrainBit EEG Headband is a wireless, 4-channel EEG (Electroencephalography) headband designed to record and monitor the brain's electrical activity in real time. The device uses dry, gold-plated electrodes, eliminating the need for conductive gel or a traditional EEG cap during typical use.

The headband records signals from four locations in the 10-20 system: O1, O2, T3, and T4, covering the occipital and temporal regions. Data is transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth Low Energy to a computer, smartphone, tablet, or a custom app using the BrainBit SDK (Software Development Kit).

The BrainBit Headband can be used for, among other things, It is used in research projects, education, neurofeedback, wellness applications, BCI [Brain-Computer Interface], HCI [Human-Computer Interaction], VR/AR solutions, and for creating custom applications using EEG signals. The manufacturer provides access to raw EEG data, so the device does not limit the user to pre-built BrainBit applications.

The BrainBit Headband is a non-medical device. The manufacturer intends it for research, education, training, wellness, and software development, and does not claim to be used for the diagnosis or treatment of diseases.

Required software

The BrainBit Headband requires a data receiving device and appropriate software, but is not tied to a single mandatory application. The manufacturer offers several proprietary solutions and a free SDK for creating your own applications.

BrainBit SDK – a free development toolkit enabling direct communication with the device, receiving raw EEG data, and creating your own applications. Supported platforms include Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.

NeuroREC – BrainBit software for EEG recording, viewing, and analysis. It allows for raw EEG data recording, signal quality control, event marking, spectral analysis, spectrograms, 2D/3D maps, and export to CSV and EDF/EDF+. The current version is designed for Windows.

EEG Waves App – a simpler app primarily used for real-time EEG activity monitoring and brainwave band visualization. The manufacturer offers versions for iOS, Android, and Windows.

BrainBit Neurofeedback App – a mobile solution for non-clinical neurofeedback with real-time feedback, pre-made sessions, and a history of basic results.

NeuroFit PRO – a more comprehensive neurofeedback environment designed for trainers, centers, laboratories, and educational applications. It offers pre-made protocols, EEG parameter monitoring, neurofeedback games, reporting, and dual-screen operation. Current manufacturer requirements require Windows 10 or a newer compatible Windows configuration.
