The Atexxo iPhone 17 Ex Zone 1/21 is a specialized, explosion-proof version of the Apple iPhone 17 designed for use in areas at risk of explosive atmospheres of gases, vapors, and dust. Atexxo Manufacturing modifies the standard iPhone 17's housing and electrical system, then prepares and certifies it in accordance with ATEX and IECEx requirements.

The result is a modern ATEX iPhone 17 for Zones 1 and 21, retaining Apple platform functionality, including 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, Face ID, a 48MP camera, and iOS.

This solution is primarily intended for the petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pharmaceutical, and energy industries, as well as other businesses where mobile devices must be approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

iPhone 17 for Zone 1 and Zone 21 Explosion-Proof Areas

The standard Apple iPhone 17 is not intended for use in explosive atmospheres. Atexxo Manufacturing is subjecting the new device to a specialized conversion, which includes modifying the housing and providing appropriate protection for the electrical systems.

The complete Atexxo iPhone 17 device can therefore operate in:

Zone 1 gas zone,
Zone 21 dust zone,
environments at risk of gas and vapors,
environments where flammable dust may be present.

The Zone 1/21 version is ATEX and IECEx certified.
