RealityScan is a free mobile application (iOS/Android) that allows you to create high-quality 3D models using your phone or tablet.

Scan with your phone or tablet
- Turn almost any object into a highly detailed 3D model by simply taking photos of it.
- The app's intuitive user interface makes it easy to quickly scan objects wherever you are

AR tips
- To create a high-quality 3D model, you do not need to have any scanning experience. The app's AR navigation tool will guide you through the entire process, highlighting any area of the property that requires additional photos.
- When you're done, you can easily check the coverage from different camera positions. View and remove all unlinked/unaligned images.

Pruning
- It's time to remove the noise around the object. Just select the crop box tool and scale to the size of the object you want to recreate in CG.
- You can review the cropped image in preview mode and make further adjustments if necessary.

Review mode
- Check the quality of your model to make sure you are getting the best results.
- In browse mode, display the model as it would look if you exported it now, or by photo coverage quality - areas of the model marked in green have sufficient photo coverage, areas in red or orange require additional photos.

Export to Sketchfab
- Share your creation with the world! Once you're happy with the result, you can export your model directly to Sketchfab.
- Download your model from there to use in Unreal Engine, Twinmotion, Mesh to MetaHuman, or post-processing tools.

Project library
- View all scanned models in the Design Library.
- Give your models a name and description, fix unlinked images, and preview the final version as a directly embedded Sketchfab model.

RealityScan is available for iPhones and iPads running iOS 16 or later, and Android phones and tablets supporting ARCore and Android 7 (API level 24) or later.

First, check out the tutorial in the app's Settings menu. Once you start capturing images, your model is automatically assembled and you can preview it as a point cloud.
Areas with low coverage will be displayed in red. The rule is that the greener, the better. Once the mesh is complete, you can see the same color code in the preview model.

Avoid objects that are transparent, shiny or textureless. They are not suitable for reconstruction from images. Also make sure that the object or parts of it are not moving, for example due to wind or movement around the object.

A red line around an image means it is not linked to the images next to it. To fix this, simply take a few additional photos in the area around the image position marked in red.
A white line around the image indicates that the image is currently being analyzed or waiting to be uploaded.
A green line around the image means that the image is connected to the images next to it and well aligned.

Green clouds/point grids indicate that this part of the subject has been well photographed from multiple angles and will likely mesh well. Red point clouds indicate that an area has been poorly scanned and it is recommended that you take more images of the area that include angles between the original images.

You can reopen your designs to adjust the cropping box and then re-export to Sketchfab.

The application and all exports are completely free. The limit on the number of models you can upload to your Sketchfab account per month depends on your Sketchfab plan, but when you first upload models to Sketchfab, you will be automatically upgraded to a Sketchfab Pro account for the entire year.

You can export the model directly to Sketchfab from RealityScan. It can be downloaded from Sketchfab in FBX, USDZ and GLB/glTF formats.

Technically, there is no limit to the number of models you can export from RealityScan, but there is a limit to the number of models you can upload to your Sketchfab account per month, depending on your Sketchfab plan. Currently, the only way to export from RealityScan is Sketchfab.

The RealityScan EULA is the legal document you agree to when you sign up for RealityScan. Governs how you use RealityScan.

The official version of the EULA is only available in English.
