The MindRove Classic 8-channel EMG Armband is a wireless EMG armband for real-time muscle recording and gesture control. The device offers 8 EMG channels, dry stainless steel electrodes, a built-in 6-axis IMU motion sensor, and access to raw data via SDK. It's a solution for research labs, universities, R&D teams, human-machine interface developers, robotics, prototyping, and motion analysis and gesture control projects.
MindRove Classic 8-channel EMG Armband
The MindRove Classic 8-channel EMG Armband is a proven platform for EMG signal acquisition, designed for research, prototyping, and development of muscle-based applications. The armband enables wireless recording of EMG signals from the forearm or upper arm, as well as movement analysis thanks to a built-in 6-axis IMU sensor, which includes a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer.
The device is equipped with 8 EMG channels and additional reference and DRL electrodes. Dry stainless steel electrodes allow for comfortable operation without the need for conductive gel, facilitating rapid setup of a research or demonstration setup. The adjustable design fits arm or forearm circumferences ranging from 21 to 35 cm.
MindRove Classic wirelessly transmits data to a computer via WiFi Direct, enabling real-time viewing, recording, and analysis of signals. Raw EMG and IMU data are available to the user, allowing integration with custom applications, gesture recognition algorithms, robotic systems, research environments, and signal processing tools.
With SDK support for Windows, macOS, and Linux, and support for C++, C#, Python, and MATLAB, the headband can be used for both academic applications and commercial R&D projects. MindRove also offers MindRove Connect software for data visualization and recording, as well as real-time I/O integration via the Lab Streaming Layer.
