Application:

- Concussion
For the assessment of cognitive and neuropsychological changes following concussion.

NIRSIT can be used concurrently with assessment tools to monitor in real time the brain status of individuals who have suffered a concussion and may have adverse effects such as cognitive impairment.

- Depression / PTSD
Chronic depression and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are associated with cognitive impairments including memory and attention. People with depression and PTSD are assessed for delayed verbal and figurative memory, attention, and learning.

NIRSIT can be used concurrently with such assessment tools to monitor the brain states of people suffering from chronic depression and/or PTSD.
