The BrainBit MINDO Headband is a wireless, four-channel EEG (Electroencephalography) headband designed primarily for home neurofeedback training, meditation, relaxation, and concentration training. The device uses dry, gold-plated electrodes, eliminating the need for conductive gel or the preparation required for traditional EEG systems.
BrainBit Mindo Headband
The BrainBit MINDO Headband is a wireless, four-channel EEG (Electroencephalography) headband designed primarily for home neurofeedback training, meditation, relaxation, and concentration training. The device uses dry, gold-plated electrodes, eliminating the need for conductive gel or the preparation required for traditional EEG systems.
MINDO records brain electrical activity using four EEG channels located at points O1, O2, T3, and T4.
Data from the headband is transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth Low Energy [BLE] to a compatible device.
The BrainBit Neurofeedback app analyzes EEG activity and converts it into feedback presented in the form of images, audio, and game mechanics, among other things.
Users can perform training sessions focused on concentration, relaxation, and meditation, and analyze the results of previous sessions. The manufacturer positions MINDO as a solution for personal, home, and training use, not as a laboratory or clinical diagnostic system. MINDO is a non-medical product. The manufacturer clearly states that the device is not intended for the diagnosis, treatment, or therapy of any disease.

Software Required for BrainBit Neurofeedback
The basic software for training with MINDO is the BrainBit Neurofeedback App.
Platforms: Android and iOS.
Connection with MINDO: Bluetooth Low Energy.
The app uses EEG data to conduct neurofeedback training.
It provides real-time feedback.
It supports training in areas such as concentration, relaxation, meditation, and stress reduction.
It provides session history, results, and basic progress analysis.
The developer states that the app is free and does not include in-app purchases.
The MINDO website lists 36 games and workouts, while the current BrainBit Neurofeedback app page lists 38 games and workouts.
BrainBit Neurofeedback System Requirements
BrainBit's website lists a minimum of iOS 12.0.
The current app listing in the Apple App Store requires iOS 16.0 or later. For Apple devices, iOS 16.0 is currently the minimum installation requirement. BrainBit lists a minimum of Android 5.0 for the Android version.
The current Google Play Store page confirms the continued availability of the BrainBit Neurofeedback app and its January 21, 2026 update, but does not publicly display the minimum Android version in the downloaded specifications.
Additional Software – EEG Waves
MINDO is also compatible with the EEG Waves app, which is designed more for observing and analyzing EEG activity than for conducting neurofeedback training.
Real-time EEG signal preview,
Brainwave visualization,
Power presentation of individual frequency bands,
View of separate O1, O2, T3, and T4 channels,
Connection quality and electrode status indicators,
Session history,
Mobile version for iOS and Android,
Desktop version available for Windows,
Windows version allows export of raw EEG data to CSV.
EEG Waves Requirements:
iOS 12.0 or later according to the BrainBit website,
Android 7.0 or later,
Windows – separate desktop version available.
How it works
The user puts on MINDO and launches the app.
The headband connects to a phone or tablet via Bluetooth.
The user selects the training type, e.g., concentration, meditation, or relaxation. The app calibrates and begins EEG recording.
Brain activity influences gameplay, images, videos, or audio.
This provides the user with real-time feedback.
After completing the training session, statistics and session results are available.
