Kiber K3S

The Kiber K3S is an industrial, head-mounted AR/XR (Augmented Reality/Extended Reality) system designed for remote support of field workers. The device is mounted on a safety helmet and allows the operator to conduct audio-video transmissions, receive instructions, display documents, and consult with remote experts hands-free.

The system can be used for tasks such as service, maintenance, inspections, installation, training, diagnostics, and emergency response. The kit combines the Kiber 3S Kit device, the Kiber 3 Web online collaboration platform, and the Kiber 3 Field mobile app.

Software Required for Operation

Kiber 3 Web
This is a web-based platform designed for remote experts.
It allows for receiving video and audio from the K3S device.
It enables audio-video communication, annotation, photo capture, screen and document sharing, and session recording.
It does not require installing a separate application on the remote expert's computer.
Access is via a standard web browser.
The manufacturer lists Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera, among others.
Google Chrome is recommended by the manufacturer for best performance.
Access to an active Kiber 3 Web environment and an appropriate license are required.

Kiber 3 Field
Mobile app available for Android and iOS.
It is used to configure the device, manage Wi-Fi networks, change the session code, check the device status, and perform updates.
In basic Wi-Fi mode, the app is not strictly required to start a standard session.
It is required for convenient configuration and use of additional device features. Tethering mode requires an Android smartphone, the Kiber 3 Field app, and a wired USB-C connection.

After detecting a connected K3S, the app allows you to display your phone's screen on the visor, browse websites full-screen, and join Microsoft Teams meetings using the helmet camera, among other features.

Optional Software and Services

Important Information Regarding 5G
The manufacturer promotes the Kiber K3S as a solution providing 5G communication capabilities. However, the official data sheet does not list a built-in 5G modem; it lists Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The tethering mode documentation indicates that a cellular connection can be provided by a connected Android smartphone. Based on the available information, it should be assumed that 5G support is provided via a phone or an external connectivity kit, not directly via the helmet's built-in modem.

Other Kiber Models and Solutions

Kiber 3 ATEX – an industrial headset designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The device is ATEX Zone 1 certified, IP65 rated, and features an integrated helmet, visor, camera, earphones, and microphone. An optional handheld camera enables optical and thermal imaging of hard-to-reach objects.

Kiber 3Evo – a lightweight and versatile AR (Augmented Reality) system weighing approximately 120 g. Its universal mount allows it to be installed on helmets, headbands, safety glasses, and other PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) items. Kiber 3 Field – a mobile app for Android and iOS devices that allows field workers to connect with a remote expert via smartphone. It supports image transmission, communication, visual guidance, and remote support during maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and service work.

Kiber 3 Web – a browser-based platform designed for remote experts and support teams. It enables audio-video communication, image annotation, screen and document sharing, video conferencing, and session recording.

Kiber Connect – a remote support platform integrated with Microsoft 365. It provides centralized management of sessions, users, and devices, access to Microsoft Teams, calendars, and company data, as well as automatic report generation and saving to OneDrive.

Kiber Assistant – an application designed for field operators that allows remote consultations directly via Microsoft Teams. The expert can monitor the work area, provide instructions and annotations, and support the operator during diagnostics, inspections, and technical procedures.

Kiber Summarize – an application for managing remote support session recordings. It allows users to search for relevant sections, add tags, shorten recordings, prepare summaries, and generate PDF reports containing key information from the session.

Kiber Repogen – a standalone mode available in the Kiber app for Microsoft 365. Operators can use voice commands to take photos, record videos, and voice notes, even without an active internet connection or starting a Microsoft Teams conversation. Once the work is completed, the system automatically organizes the materials and generates a report in Word and PDF formats.
