EMOTIV EPOC X – 14-Channel Wireless EEG System

The EMOTIV EPOC X is a professional, portable, and wireless 14-channel EEG system designed for brain activity research, scientific experiments, neurotechnology, and BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) projects.

The device enables recording of electrical brain activity at 14 locations consistent with the international 10-20 electrode placement system. The sensor placement ensures coverage of the frontal, temporal, parietal, and occipital regions, making the EPOC X suitable for academic research as well as projects in psychology, neuroscience, HCI (Human Computer Interaction), and BCI.

The EPOC X utilizes reusable sensors with felt pads soaked in saline solution. This solution reduces subject preparation time compared to traditional EEG systems using conductive gel.

The system allows for a selectable sampling rate of 128 or 256 samples per second and a resolution of 14 or 16 bits. The recorded EEG signal covers a frequency range of 0.16 to 43 Hz.

The built-in 9-axis IMU module enables simultaneous recording of head movements and orientation. Data can be transmitted wirelessly via Bluetooth Low Energy or via a dedicated USB receiver operating in the 2.4 GHz band.

The EMOTIV EPOC X is intended for universities, research laboratories, R&D teams, BCI developers, UX/HCI specialists, and users conducting experiments requiring mobile EEG recording.
