Acer AI Glasses GI0 – intelligent glasses with an AI assistant

Acer AI Glasses GI0 are lightweight smart glasses designed for users who want to use artificial intelligence features, image capture and voice control without having to reach for their phone. The GI0 model is not a classic AR headset with a display in front of the eyes. It is primarily an AI glasses solution focused on voice assistant interaction, image analysis, translations, audio recording, and capturing photos and videos from the user’s point of view.

The key feature of the glasses is integration with Google Gemini. This allows users to use voice commands, ask questions, receive support in everyday situations, use AI translations and perform real-time image analysis. As a result, the glasses can be useful while travelling, attending meetings, working on the move, studying, participating in industry events or documenting everyday surroundings.

Acer GI0 are equipped with a built-in 12 MP camera, which enables users to take photos and record videos from a first-person perspective. Photo resolution is 3024 × 4032 px, while video can be recorded in Full HD 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps. The device also includes three microphones, stereo speakers and a voice recording function, which may be useful for creating voice notes, recording conversations or preparing meeting summaries.

The glasses work with the Acer AspireSync app and are compatible with mobile devices running Android 12 or later and iOS 15 or later. Wireless connectivity is provided through Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. The built-in 32 GB eMMC storage allows users to store photos, recordings and other data directly on the device.

In terms of design, Acer GI0 are intended to be lightweight and comfortable for everyday use. The frames weigh 46 g, and their slim form makes them look more like traditional glasses than a bulky electronic device. Control is possible through a capture button, a side touch panel and voice commands. The glasses also include a status LED, which is important for informing people nearby when the device is active.

Acer GI0 are aimed at mobile users, travellers, content creators, professionals working in the field and people who want to test practical AI applications in everyday life. They may be useful for quickly capturing images, creating voice notes, translating, analysing the surroundings and working with an AI assistant hands-free.

It is worth noting, however, that these are AI glasses, not AR glasses with a built-in screen. Users looking for a virtual display for work, films or gaming should instead consider Acer’s other model – AR Vision GR0. GI0 serve a different purpose: they are designed to be a lightweight mobile AI assistant with a camera, microphones and smartphone connectivity.
